[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]En enero de 2024 comenz\u00f3 la ejecuci\u00f3n del proyecto Orinoco through the ages<\/strong><\/em>, ganador de una de las becas de Storytelling otorgadas en noviembre de 2023 y financiadas por National Geograpic Society<\/a><\/span><\/span>. En la iniciativa participan: nuestra profesora del Departamento de Historia del Arte<\/a><\/span><\/span> y arque\u00f3loga Natalia Lozada<\/a><\/span><\/span>, el escritor y narrador oral Cachi Orteg\u00f3n, el bi\u00f3logo Sergio Estrada, el experto local Ariel Trujillo y la fot\u00f3grafa y exploradora de National Geographic Juanita Escobar.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row content_placement=\u00bbmiddle\u00bb u_row_style=\u00bb0″ u_row_paralax=\u00bb0″ u_row_scheme=\u00bb0″][vc_column width=\u00bb1\/2″][vc_column_text]El proyecto explora la arqueolog\u00eda, ecolog\u00eda y las comunidades ind\u00edgenas que viven alrededor del Rio Orinoco. [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Orinoco through the ages<\/strong><\/em> se origin\u00f3 a partir de las investigaciones arqueol\u00f3gicas desarrolladas por la profesora Lozada en su proyecto FAPA Uniandes Alfareros del medio y Alto Orinoco<\/strong>, financiado por el Centro de Investigaci\u00f3n y Creaci\u00f3n CIC<\/a><\/span><\/span> de la Facultad de Artes y Humanidades y la Society of Antiquaries of London<\/a><\/span><\/span> entre 2021 y 2024. En esa primera etapa, el proyecto cont\u00f3 con importantes alianzas y colaboradores pertenecientes a universidades nacionales e internacionales, como la Universidad del Rosario<\/a><\/span><\/span>, la University College of London<\/a><\/span><\/span>, la University of Bournemouth<\/a><\/span><\/span> y la Universidad de Barcelona<\/a><\/span><\/span>, quienes siguen vinculados a la investigaci\u00f3n y an\u00e1lisis de los materiales encontrados. A partir de los hallazgos de arte rupestre, cer\u00e1mica precolonial y referencias hist\u00f3ricas de viajeros que recorrieron la zona y registraron sitios arqueol\u00f3gicos en el siglo XIX, el proyecto se vuelca ahora en la divulgaci\u00f3n y valoraci\u00f3n de estas evidencias y las conexiones con las comunidades que actualmente habitan el r\u00edo.
