Blurring the Lines started in 2016 has received more than 250 project proposals from 19 institutions across the world; and successfully managed to show the selected works at fotofever and Espace F15 in Paris, at HKU University of the Arts in Utrecht, the Netherlands and at the Palazzo Mora at the Venice Biennale in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The 2020 program strengthens the involvement of partners such as FOTODOK (international space for documentary photography based in Utrecht, the Netherlands) Urbanautica (Institute of studies on visual anthropology and cultural landscapes, based in Italy), the European Cultural Center (a platform for reflection, research and interdisciplinary encounters across the fields of visual art, based in Italy) in promoting the selected works; as well as FujiFilm Italy, and Faservice.<\/p>\n<p>More information about the project, participating schools, the publication, exhibitions, and educational program can be found on the website:<span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> <a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.blurringthelines.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.blurringthelines.org<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 1\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h3>THEME<\/h3>\n<p>Blurring the Lines aims to select and exhibit projects that communicate the expansion of modes of representation through photography. The theme for the 2020 call is \u201cCommitment\u201d as the state or quality of being dedicated to a cause, activity, etc., or an engagement or obligation that restricts freedom of action. The question of photography\u2019s commitment to real-world issues and its relationship provides significant directives for promoting a social engagement from photographers, which is changing the photographic tool.<\/p>\n<h3>HOW TO PARTICIPATE<\/h3>\n<p>The call is open to graduating students and recent graduates who aspire to divulge their thesis research work, to get international recognition, and contribute to an academic dialogue among the participating schools.<\/p>\n<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 2\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<p>We ask to photography program directors and professors that want to be involved in \u201cBlurring the Lines 2020\u201d edition to make the first selection and send a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 projects per institution.<\/p>\n<p>Each institution nominates the participants and sends the student\u2019s name, last name and email contacts to <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><a style=\"color: #ff0000;\" href=\"mailto:klaus.fruchtnis@paris.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">klaus.fruchtnis@paris.edu<\/a><\/span>; a login will be sent to the students to upload directly their proposal on the platform before Friday, June 5, 2020, 6:00 pm (Paris time).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<em>* Esta\u00a0<span class=\"markzs1let0pu\" data-markjs=\"true\" data-ogac=\"\" data-ogab=\"\" data-ogsc=\"\" data-ogsb=\"\">convocatoria<\/span>\u00a0no es organizada por la Facultad de Artes y Humanidades de la Universidad de los Andes y se publica en el sitio web para su difusi\u00f3n.
