Las escenas se desarrollan en el espacio dom\u00e9stico, donde el personaje principal realiza actividades triviales. Sin embargo, sugieren un estado interior del cuerpo m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la superficie. La serie reutiliza algunas estrategias visuales del g\u00e9nero de la fantas\u00eda en el cine como el humo y la luz (elementos tambi\u00e9n asociados a las im\u00e1genes religiosas), un g\u00e9nero que ha usado diferentes tipos de cuerpos de talla baja para asociarlos con lo fant\u00e1stico, lo monstruoso y lo on\u00edrico. Ambos sol\u00edan trenzarse en los momentos de suspenso para darles un efecto de misterio; el humo como la cortina que oculta y confunde, y la luz como un camino, un atisbo de respuesta en medio de la confusi\u00f3n.
